Department of Oriental Research Centre(Founder Member ORC), Sree Neelakanta Sharma Government Sanskrit College campus, Pattambi ,Founder member Vallathol educational trust Sukapuram ,Founder member Folk lore fellows of Malabar Cannore ,Pioneering works in Toponomy,Age of a village-Village history,Local history,Panchayath Vijnaniyam,Area history and Regional History .Thovari a Prehistoric site of Edakkal series was identified in 1986.Pioneering study of Calicut Port,Fort and Rajadhani.Kodungallur studies and Sacred grove studies.First detailed study of Feroke fort of Tippu Sultan(1986)Re-enacted Mamankam in thirunavaya in1998 which lead to excavations in thirunavaya.A palm leaf manuscript on Kunjali marakkar"s investiture ceremoney is brought to limelight. This is the only record related to kunjalis tiitle receiving function.Recently A survey of Kollam Thankasseri area is done This is the first study of the port at Tharisappally based on Tharisappally Inscriptions.Identified the Port and urban maritime Nucleus,Indigenous rulers Capital area Chiravathlkal, and Kulasekharas Court area near Rameswaram Temple  at Kollam .The earliest (dated 849 AD)planned port and city at Tharisappally reveals the planning of their maritime Trade system.It reveals that VENATTUTAIYAVAR is the LOcal chieftain (MUUPPAN-Chiravaymuuppan.Chiravay is near Thankasseri port) and he is not related to Kulasekharas.He is a member of VeLkulam/Aykulam and the family  transformed intoVenattu Swaruupam.AHere starts the history of Earliest swaruupam. The pattern study of Calicut thus become very important.
