 Families which had 'Talacharnor' title are listed here. More than 350 families with 'Sthani' titles spread over Nila Valley are identified ( MAAMAKAM REKHAKAL Vallathol vidyapeedom Sukapuram  2006). The investigations to identify their geographical spread­ing is being done, based on Toponyms figured in Settlement records of 1892. A distribution map will he prepared to find the actual situations. families of many of them, their power, status etc. are given in Malahar Studies.Afew research scholars are doing further investigations (see New works and summary of biodata)

As noted in the discussion, the details of investiture ceremony existcd from atleast 1450 AD.Very important descriptions of them are discussed based on original records of the chieftains palaces .. Hither to unnoticed records are now brought to light. The original records, of this type alone amount to more than one hundered. They are collected. documented, analysed and being published. A vol­ume of them' Investiture ceremonies conductcd by Zamorins of Calicut " is  published by Vallathol Educational Trust, Sukapram, Edappal.The Volume will come out in July 2001 .
